Do you remember the time Jesus referred to a Canaanite lady as a dog? It was language with which the disciples would have been familiar. But Jesus didn’t actually think the lady deserved this treatment, and she picked up on what Jesus was actually saying. She needed help. Her daughter was in trouble, and she replied, “Even the dogs get the crumbs from their master’s table.” Join us this week as we conclude our sermon series titled “Under the Banner of Heaven.” In spite of what we may think from reading the Old Testament, Jesus loves the Canaanites, too.
