Thinking About the Ones You Cannot Save

Synopsis … Sometimes even God is unable to help people.  When God confronts this reality, God grieves.  Jesus wept when he considered the avoidable doom threatening Jerusalem.  And we—when we confront human suffering, we are unable to remedy—how do we respond?  What shapes do our hearts take when we face overwhelming human need?
