Sweet Water

Sermon Synopsis:  Elisha’s first official act as “the nation’s prophet” came in response to a request from the elders of Jericho.  The water from their town’s springs was bitter.  It was too toxic to use for irrigation.  Elisha “healed” the waters, which have remained sweet to this day.  May we, in our prophetic role, all be healers of the waters.  Let’s do what we can to purify the words and waters of our communities.  Like Elisha, let’s be sources of sweetness.
