All through the books of Deuteronomy and Joshua, the people of God are exhorted to remember. Remember the great works of God. Remember their narrow escapes and miraculous deliverances. This remembering was to fuel future exploits, and future faithfulness.
So, with us. We remember and celebrate the brightest chapters in our past and take from them renewed courage and zeal in our work as citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven.
