Candlelight Christmas Concert

Each December for more than fifty years, the Green Lake Church has presented a very special evening of music and readings, scripture and carols. For many, the Candlelight Christmas Concert provides an important opportunity to pause in the midst of this busy season, sit quietly in our beautiful sanctuary, and reflect on the incredible gift God provided to us all through the birth of the baby Jesus more than two thousand years ago.

This year’s 53rd annual concert takes place Friday evening, December 15, at 7:30 pm, and will feature the vocal choirs, handbell choir, and orchestra presenting beloved Christmas music and carols interspersed with a retelling of the Nativity Story through scriptures and inspirational readings. The program will conclude with singing several congregational carols by candlelight led by the choir and orchestra, followed by a reception in the auditorium below the sanctuary.  An offering will be taken during the program and given to a local charity.

All are invited – all are welcome! So invite your friends and neighbors to share this beautiful evening with you. You could be the person who provides much-needed comfort and joy to someone this Christmas. Childcare will be provided.
