Apocalypse

An older name of the book we call “Revelation” is Apocalypse, which is a transliteration of the Greek word meaning to uncover or reveal. It is easy for the mayhem and chaos that figures prominently in the center of the book to seize our attention, but we don’t need a prophet to reveal to use the prospect of chaos. The indispensable truths in the prophet’s vision are hope and wisdom. God reigns. Jesus triumphs. And so will we.
