Carolyn Lacy is a San Francisco native who attended Pacific Union College. Following graduation, she worked in the Development and Public Relations Office at Loma Linda University, taught at Monterey Bay Academy and PUC, and moved to the Seattle area when she married Curtis Lacy, who was then in graduate school at the University of Washington. Her skills as an office administrator were honed in law firms, a physician’s office, businesses she owned in Bellevue, and currently at Green Lake Church in Seattle. On the side, she still serves clients of The Word Shop, an office support service she founded in 1980. She is a backyard bird watcher, classical music aficionado, treasurer of the Pilchuck Audubon Society, and grammy to four—children of her two daughters, Cherilyn and Cecilia.
