Accessible Entrances
Two entrances to the church can be used without steps. although the plaza entrance off the hill on 64th Street has no steps, the steep hill can be a challenge. the Woodlawn Ave entrance st the top has a ramp that makes it the entrance of choice for those with mobility challenges.
Elevator
We are blessed with an elevator that goes to all three floors of the church. only a few rooms cannot be reached without going up steps: on the lowest floor, the women’s restroom and the Beginners classroom; on the top floor, the Parents’ room and most parts of the balcony.
Parents’ Room
You are welcome to sit anywhere in the church, but, if needed, there is a windowed room with rocking chairs and adjustable sound behind the balcony. The entrance is from the hallway outside the balcony, up a few steps near the entrance door to the balcony.
Orientation to Children’s Divisions
The weekly bulletin has a list of the children’s divisions with room numbers, leader’s names and age ranges.
Locations of Restrooms and Changing tables.
Restrooms on all floors of the church include changing tables and special lidded pails and plastic bags for diapers.
- Bottom floor – both women’s and men’s restrooms
- Main floor (middle) – only the women’s, NOT the wheelchair bathroom
- Top floor – across from the parents’ room
Missing some critical supply?
A few diapers and some wipes can be found in the restroom across from the parents’ room on the top floor.
