Marleen Land is originally from Milwaukee, WI, and has been living in the Pacific Northwest since 1989. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Andrews University in Michigan and a Master of Music degree from Converse College School of Music in South Carolina, both in Music Education.

She began working professionally as a church musician while in college and had a decades-long career as a Minister of Music and/or Organist for several denominations. Her experience includes teaching classroom music and directing both children’s and adult choirs in Michigan, North and South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Washington. She has been a state-certified music teacher in the aforementioned states and has held music teaching credentials from the General Conference and the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists Office of Education.

In addition to her position as Junior Choir Co-Director at Green Lake Church, she works regularly as a ballet accompanist at Evergreen City Ballet in Renton and Spectrum Dance Theater and Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle.
